New year Fascia reset - Myofascial Release course

Dive into the practise of Myofascial Release and learn many techniques to enrich your own self-care practise or enhance your teaching skills.
Enrich and deepen your yoga practice and yoga teaching by learning how to tap into the powerful energies of the myofascial system during your asana or movement practise.

This course series of 5 classes and a workshop is designed for you to learn about Fascial lines (Anatomy trains) and Myofascial release techniques to work through common tension areas in the body from your feet all the way up to your head.

Myofascial release is a therapy practise that evolved in the 1960s for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood & lymphatic circulation and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles. The practise of self myofascial release involves compression that is held for a certain period of time and released so tension and trigger points can resolve - typically with Massage Therapy balls, Foam Rollers, yoga bolsters or blocks.

The fascial system is vital not just to our structural health, but to the health of the body as a whole. The fascial system surrounds, supports and integrates our muscles, organs and even our cells. It is a multi-dimensional system, essential to the flow of information and vital energy—prana, or chi—in the body.

Discover how to tap into the myofascial system in your yoga practice. Myofascial release offers a powerful tool to enrich your own yoga practice.

What a previous participant said about one of my Myofascial release workshops:

”Thank you, this workshop was once again very enlightening and beneficial, and it did me a world of good! I had a torn ligament in my ankle, and I was very cautious, because I didn't know how much I could do, since I have to be very careful to not tear my ligaments again.

I realised that Myofascial release is a great tool for massaging out the accumulated pressure of the injury, and it felt really good. Its amazing that i can also use the ball while traveling. I have now discovered yet another way to strengthen my ankle.” -
